Back-to-School Needs

BACK-TO-SCHOOL NEEDS

 

 

Many children in the Route 1 community need assistance with basic

school supplies as classes resume in September.  United Community Ministries (UCM)

attempts to alleviate some of the financial strain this need imposes upon

some of the more destitute of families. 

Thanks to your support in August of 2009 UCM was able to provide

over 800 students with school supplies and backpacks

UCM needs the help of others in the community to provide this assistance. 

You can purchase items from the following list to help children get off to a

good start in the Fall:

*Generic items (i.e. those without sport or other merchandizing pictures or logos) are preferred.

**We cannot use Trapper keepers, legal pads, or scotch tape

 

Gift Cards:  Office Depot, Target, Wal Mart, etc.

and cash donations are welcome.

These donations will be restricted to school supply purchases for any

needed items that are not donated.
