Join us for the March For Our Lives (Youth & Adults)

Again we have been confronted with a terrible tragedy with the murder of young people.  Again we are called to stand for what is right - the safety of our children,  again we are called to make our voices heard against misinformation and 'alternative' facts. As we hear in Isaiah, a child will lead us.  This time it is the youth of this country who have stepped forward to lead us to stand up against weapons meant only to kill humans.

This Saturday, March 24, a march will be held in Washington, organized by youth to support and demand a change in our firearm laws to prohibit the private ownership of semiautomatic and automatic weapon(amongst other things).

The march will take place on Pennsylvania Avenue between 3rd street and 12th street NW. It will begin at 12:00pm (noon). We should get there NLT than 11am. To do this we should leave Huntington metro NTL 9:45.

For those wishing to go in a group we will meet at St Mark's at 8:45-9 a.m. Please message Rev. Donna for further information on meeting.  We will leave the church parking lot at 9:20 to carpool to the metro.

Best parking is off of Huntington NOT off of Kings Hwy. if you elect to meet us at the station. We will gather by the tracks at 9:30 and will have a sign so you can see us.

If you do not have a metro card or at least $10 on a card, suggest you get one before the 24th. Lines can be long. You can buy fare cards at the stations or at stores for $10 (with $8 in fare pre-loaded onto the card) including CVS and Giant. https://www.wmata.com/rider-gui…/travel-to-national-mall.cfm.

You may also find the app "March for our Lives" in google play for more info.
