Dear Chapter Presidents,
With 2 events coming up in the next few months I wanted to send you a note to pass along to your chapter members.
April 17, 2010 is our Diocesan Spring Assembly at Truro Church.
ü Our speaker, Pam Runyon, from North Carolina is the International Chairman of the Order. She will deliver a special presentation on Daughters around the world and how we can connect our chapters with international chapters.
ü There is as option for lunch – if you choose to not stay for lunch the fee is $5.00 for registration only (this helps defray the cost of the speaker and the food available before the service starts). Please contact Sue Hummer if you plan to attend: maryshummer@verizon.net or call 703-978-4764 by April 9.
ü We will have our Provincial III President, Carolyn Booker with us and she will bring news about the Provincial and National DOK.
ü Please bring your chapter banner to the Assembly.
Our Province III Retreat will be held June 4 – 6, 2010 at Antiochian Village in Bolivar, PA.
o Each chapter will need a delegate and alternate for the business meeting.
o If your church has girls that would be interested in attending the Jr. Daughters Retreat (the same time and location as our Sr. retreat) there are 2 attachments with this note for you. In those attachments you will find the email address and phone number of the Province Jr. Daughter Directress, Anne McCracken.
o All registrations (both Sr. and Jr.) are due by April 15.
Finally, our Diocesan Treasurer, Chris Bowie, has resigned due to health and family difficulties. If your chapter has a lady with the ability to be our treasurer, please call me and I will contact her about filling this position.
