Vestry and Staff

Role of the Vestry

St. Mark's Vestry is the governing body of the church. At the Annual Meeting held  each January, the congregation elects new members of the St. Mark's Vestry.

According to St. Mark's Bylaws, there are nine (9) Vestry members serving a three-year term. Should a member resign before completing their term, the Vestry may appoint a new member to the unexpired term.

The Senior Warden, Junior Warden, the Clerk and Treasurer are elected from the Vestry (Clerk and Treasurer positions are not required to be a Vestry members). St. Mark’s Vestry Requirements are described on the Vestry Agreements and Structure page.
