Welcome to St. Mark's Episcopal Church

Opening the door to Christ's love: an inviting, embracing and serving community offering Good News in the midst of a confusing world.

Our parish  is located 4 miles south of Alexandria, close to many neighborhoods, from Kingstown to Groveton.  We celebrate diversity, embrace children, and genuinely welcome people of all races, ages, cultural and economic backgrounds.      Please come visit us!

Sunday Services 8 a.m. - Holy Eucharist without music.  A healing service is part of the liturgy the first Sunday of the month.

Sunday Services 10 a.m. - Holy Eucharist with music and hymns sung with the choir. A healing service is part of the liturgy the first Sunday of the month. One Sunday a month we have a Children's Sabbath called "Make a Joyful Noise."

Sunday Morning Adult Forums - Join us in the parish hall at 9:10 a.m. for informative and interesting discussions.

Children's Programs - Nursery is provided on Sundays for children ages 4 and under. During the school year, Sunday School meets from 10-10:40 a.m. Afterwards, children join us for Holy Eucharist. During the summer, we offer crafts for all ages in the parish hall.

Morning Prayer - Please join us in the St. Mark’s Chapel on Thursday mornings, from 9:30 to 10:00 for Daily Morning Prayer, Rite II. This will be a time of prayer and devotion in a small setting, and provides an opportunity to step back from our hectic daily lives and spend weekly reflective time with the Lord.
